Point of Sale (POS): Sell In-Store and Keep Stock in Sync

2 min read

POS lets you sell in person and record manual orders without leaving the platform. Each sale deducts from the same inventory as your online stores, accepts multiple payment methods, and flows into your unified revenue and profit figures.

What POS is for

POS is ideal for retail counters, manual/phone orders and any sale that does not originate from Shopify or WooCommerce. It treats in-store sales as a first-class channel alongside your online stores.

Payments, baskets and dues

Record cash, card, bank or wallet payments (or a mix), apply discounts and tax, and track partial payments as a due amount. Outstanding dues are surfaced on your dashboard so nothing slips.

Stock and reporting

Selling on POS reduces the relevant product’s stock immediately, and the revenue appears in your channel mix and reports. Cashier performance is tracked when staff is enabled.

Step-by-step

  1. 1

    Open POS

Go to the POS screen from the sidebar.

  2. 2

    Build the basket

Add products, set quantities and apply any discount.

  3. 3

    Take payment

Choose the payment method(s); record a due amount if it is partial.

  4. 4

    Complete the sale

Finalise to deduct stock and record the transaction.

Frequently asked questions

Does POS share inventory with my online stores?

Yes. Stock is a single number — a POS sale lowers the same quantity your online channels read from.

Can I take partial payments?

Yes. Record what was paid and the remaining due is tracked and reported.

Are refunds supported?

A POS order can be marked refunded, and refund counts appear in the POS report.

Troubleshooting

A product is missing from POS.

Ensure the product is marked POS-active and in stock.

POS revenue is not in my totals.

Confirm the POS module is enabled; revenue then appears in the unified figures and channel mix.
