Global Search: Find Any Customer, Order, Shipment or Product Instantly

2 min read

Global Search is the unified search box in the top bar. Type a name, phone number, order number, tracking number or SKU and it looks across your customers, Shopify and WooCommerce orders, shipments and products at once — with a type-ahead dropdown of quick hits and a full results page for everything that matched.

What it searches

One query spans five areas, scoped to your organization, so you rarely need to remember which screen something lives on.

  • Customers — by name, phone or email.
  • Shopify orders — by order name, phone or email.
  • WooCommerce orders — by order id and billing details.
  • Shipments — by tracking number, customer phone or name.
  • Products — by title or SKU.

Type-ahead and the full results page

As you type (from two characters), a dropdown shows the top matches per area so you can jump straight to a record. Press enter to open the full search results page at /user/search, which groups every match by type for a deeper look.

Frequently asked questions

What can I search by?

Names, phone numbers, emails, order and tracking numbers, and SKUs — across customers, orders, shipments and products.

Why do no suggestions appear?

Search needs at least two characters. Keep typing and matches will surface.

Does it search other organizations’ data?

No. Results are always scoped to your own organization.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find an order I know exists.

Try a different identifier — the phone number, order name or tracking number — since spelling or formatting of one field may differ from what was stored.

A product is missing from results.

It may not have synced yet, or your term does not match its title or SKU; run a product sync and try the SKU.
